The Django Software Foundation's mission is to promote, support, and advance its open-source project: in our case, the Django Web framework.
This talk will discuss how the foundation came about, how it works to satisfy it's mission, and how it and the community can remain relevant and vibrant well into the future.

Chaim Kirby is the Vice President of the Django Software Foundationm engineering leader with over 20 years experience building complex we applications, and an administrator of a python focused slack with over 40,000 registered users. He's been working with Django since v1.1 and been a community participant since 2014.
